Abhanga: “the completion” is a stanzaic form commonly used for devotional, cynicism, satire and reflective moods. It was popular from the 13th through to the 17th century, in the Marathi Region of India.

The Abhanga is:

Written in any number of quatrain.
6/6/6/4 syllables per line.
The second and third line rhyme.
Often internal rhyme is employed.
