Earworms of a Serial Killer

When I wake up to the sound of music,
Mother Mary comes to me
There will be no sorrow, kill them all
kill them all, kill them all, kill them all,
yeah, kill them all
Whisper words of wisdom, kill them all

Float like a butterfly
Sting like a bee
Buy yourself a shotgun
set them all free

If you wannabe my lover
You gotta kill all my friends
Make them really suffer
Before they meet their ends

Mmmbop, ba duba dop
Ba du bop, ba duba dop
Ba du
Yeah

An open invitation to all the serial killers out there. Any more songs for the list?

  1. “Hello handgun, my old friend
I’ve come to polish you again
    Because the blood
    that was softly creeping
Left its stain while I was sleeping
And the excitement that was planted in my brain
    Still remains
    Within the sound of gunshots”

  2. Tell me why

I can’t sleep ’cause my bed’s on fire
Don’t touch me I’m a real live wire
    Dynamite with a laser beam
    Guaranteed to blow your mind
    Anytime
And nobody’s gonna go to school today

    Fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-far better

They left him lying in a pool of blood
And laughed about it all the way home
Run, run, run, run, run, run, run, away oh oh oh

Oh, oh, oh tell me why

We are vain and we are blind

    Tell me why

Bonnie and Clyde got to be public enemy number one
The silicon chip inside her head
    Gets switched to overload
    She’s a Killer Queen
    Gunpowder, gelatine
I canโ€™t seem to face up to the facts

    Tell me why

    And daddy doesn’t understand it
He always said she was as good as gold
    Dynamite with a laser beam
    Gunpowder, gelatine
    Psycho killer
    ‘Cause there are no reasons
What reason do you need to be sure

    Tell me why

    I want to shoot
    The whole day down
    Down, down
    Shoot it all down

    Anytime

      1. Thanks. โ€œPsycho Killerโ€ was the first thing that came to my mind. But then, the Talking Heads were my favorite band for a long time. Then it became fun figuring out what else to fit in and arranging it in a crazy yet somewhat linear fashion. You should have also caught The Boomtown Ratsโ€™ โ€œI Donโ€™t Like Mondays.โ€ The other song I pulled from is a bit less well known, โ€œThe Ballad of Bonnie and Clydeโ€ by Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames.

      2. I went through a Talking Heads phase myself. Not just the music, the videos were always mind bogglingly fascinating.
Of course, I want to shoot the whole day down. Good old Geldof.
The ballad of sounds familiar, but not the flames. I may know a cover version. I’ll have to check that. Thank you for creating this, together it looks like one complete song.
