We Are Lost

We are lost.
False morals.
A life wrapped in hide,
Burdened then
Branded,
Dried and then
dyed.

We
Succumb.
We circumvent,
Where
Honour blinds,
Favor nobility circumspect
And label honest indirect,
For our calloused hearts and minds.

If you breed a beast
And let him lose inside,
The house is death
For the home has died.

What comes of these lies?
Sheltered eyes
Will crave darkness,
And dwell
In a hell
They call home.

The one they have been shown,
Is the only one they have ever known.
