From Titmouse to Death by Poison

Starting Point:
Titmouse

The name of my future gentleman’s establishment?
Or if things don’t go so well
my future stripper name?

Google search: most common stripper name
Answer: Crystal

A deceiving name
This compound word
Which is neither tit nor mouse
But actually a bird

Compound birds

Buy a dozen birds to try
Plucked, deboned, and floured of course
Pound them flat, stack to the sky
Spread the pastry, add the sauce
Remember to set the oven on high
Cos there’s no time for remorse
When making compound bird pie

Remember that old
Nursery Rhyme

I don’t know who was more of an idiot
A chef, who somehow managed to bake a pie of four and twenty black birds without killing them
Or
A king upon being served a pie big enough to house twenty-four squawking, writhing, shitting birds, says, ‘let’s cut this sucker open.’

They say
You are what you eat
Is that more or less accurate
When someone is trying to poison you?

Google search: percentage of murders by poisoning
Answer: less than 1% (US statistics) but on the rise.

Weekly Theme:
Train of Thought

I asked friends and family for a starting point and followed the train.

  1. A lot of good work here M. The titmouse rhyme was clever…….

By the way, Brandi’s given me a personal invite tonight. She said bring the wife

    She says on invite:

    My name is Brandi Lovejoy
    Come and see my bod
Pop-up pills are free at door
    Come see me, clothes unshod

Wife’s decided to join the girls at her crochet club instead. Maybe I should join her instead M?

    1. Thanks. I get lucky when I don’t think as much 🤣

      Sure that sounds fun
But you’ll pay for it later
      in more ways an one

      If you must see brandi
      I’m honest advice…
      Stick with a handy 😉

      1. When you get lucky it’s because you unleash the mind and see what it comes back with. It’s like I don’t believe in writers block. To me it’s a myth. Because you’re thinking too hard. You know me M..relax, loosen up, let go. Light bulb comes on Thankyou neurons……

Now about this Brandi. Unshodding her bod and free pop-up pills at the door is tempting. Could end up in trouble though. Brandi offers more than just unshodment, if you follow my drift.

I’m distracting you from your kids and next post. Sorry. Thought of Brandi’s getting away from me……

      2. I like to think that’s the case, but I do wonder what force is feeding me the words 😏
You can always write, writer’s block is just that, a block. Easy to move, or move around.
Let me know how it goes with Brandi, or maybe not. I don’t know if it’s better left to the imagination.
I have been getting more comments recently. It’s starting to eat into my writing time. I have to find a way to work faster.

      3. I know people talk of having writers block. It’s a foreign experience to me. I’ve never had it. For me it’s the opposite. Too many ideas. Racing thoughts. Can’t keep up with them. I have a vivid imagination. I believe bipolar mania is the cause. Blessing or curse? It’s a two-edged sword M. Both razor sharp. One can create for good the other can destroy. A fine line. I have to stay on the creative edge. If you follow me.

Ah Brandi…..the imagination is a wonderful playground M. You can play around with all sorts of things without hurting anyone. As someone said to me horrible things in fiction can be beautiful. I will keep you posted on ant developments or otherwise with Brandi……

You know I sometimes think it would be nice having more people interested in my work. The trouble is you then have to spend more time responding back. Fame M does have it’s downsides…..

I like the ‘textbook comment’ phrase of yours. My comments will never be ‘textbook’. Billy will see to that……

Seems you gonna have to cut your sleep time to 2hrs. Such is the price of fame…..

      4. I have pages of ideas that I know I’ll never get around to because of the constant flow of new material.
I haven’t been tested for anything but those lovely words pop up in my family line a lot 😂
I think writing on the edge and off could be very informative, especially if you are enlightening others of the issue.

True, the number of dead parents and children in film recently is mind blowing. But I’ve been thinking back on Disney films and most come from broken homes, and a whole bunch of orphans.

I’m thinking of turning off comments. Between my social media accounts I answer anywhere up to 70 a day. I don’t want to I just don’t have time for it if I want to keep putting out content.

I’m not sure if I made that up or saw it somewhere. That Billy, always watching.

I’m on holidays for a couple more days so I’m managing a few more but once work starts I’ll have to get up at 5am again to keep up.

      5. Sounds like you have other social media accounts as well as WP. You can’t answer 70 comments a day.

You won’t turn off WP will you? You only get a handful of comments. What will little Billy do? He’ll be heartbroken. You’ll take away his favourite bedtime stories.

And no’ you can’t answer 70 comments a day and stay sane…..

      6. Instagram and Twitter are busy. I have 1200 and 300 followers respectively.
I had over 1000 comments on WordPress alone last month. It’s becoming a bit of work to maintain.
        Let Billy know
I’ll continue on as long as I can 👍

      7. Jeez, you’re a glutton for punishment. Think you’ve scared Billy off. He wants time to go and play mud pies with his friends. His parents are strict on keeping his online time to a minimum. How sensible. They think 1200 followers on Instagram is insane. No wonder you’re going round the twist they say. Billy’s sorry you don’t get time to go fishing anymore.

He says welcome to my world…..

      8. I played in the sandpit today. (While supervising 3 children)
I’m never online for more than 15 hours a day. I have limits too.
I’m guessing Billy has thousands of followers just like yourself. Should be interesting when his parents find out.
        It’s a brave new world.

      9. Did you build a sandcastle? with turrets?

15hrs you’re fine. Over 20 and sleeping the rest over the keyboard could pose a problem……..I’m no expert though

Re followers. It’s not the number of followers which counts. It’s the number of likes and comments. Billy has 6. True friends. He can rely on them every time…….

      10. Mostly looking for gold and building bridges.
My back is going to bend eventually. I like the idea of skipping to the end. Saves time.
Oh, then I’m lagging behind, my only friends are my children and I’m pretty sure they only put up with me cos I feed them.

  2. Well, from that starting point you really tuft it out. 😁 “You are what you eat, said a wise old man. Lord if that’s true I’m a garbage can” Victor Buono.

  3. Brilliant collection here. 🙂 And it set me looking up homicide statistics for Aus. Hardly any poisonings here either. Or possibly poisoners are more likely to get away it. Stabbing is most popular here.
And isn’t your stripper/porn name supposed to be the name of your first pet followed by the name of the street you live in? 😀

    1. Thank you, Kate.
It seems on the whole, numbers are low. Classic literature has mislead us.
Can’t go past a good stabbing. I think chopper Read said that 😂
You’re right. My stripper name is Rex Gala 😜 yours?

      1. I know! 🤣
Wuska Snowden, sounds like you would be in more upscale establishments and pornography than Rex Galah 🤣

    1. Yeah, gunfire only accounts for about 10 – 15% of homicides in Aus, stabbings are about twice that. But gunfire accounts for about 68% of homicides in the US, and slightly over half the suicides.
