Of A Kind

There are two kinds of people in the world, those who believe there are two kinds of people in the world and those who don’t.

Robert Benchley

I guess I’m the other kind?

I’m one kind of person, and so are you
but does that mean you’re on, ‘the other side?’
Two views standing alone.
All of us take this human ride
yet, we are each unique in our own way
some of us more than others you might say.
With that logic in stride
there are seven billion kinds of people, not two

There are over 140 synonyms for the word variety, and almost 200 for kind.

Confusion of Kind

“Please, tell me, how is it so hard to find?”
I can see it clearly from where I sit.
If this was self-service
I would be done with this bullshit!
Finally, something locked his darting eyes,
he rose proud, his fist clasped tight on the prize.
“Here it is, I found it.”
I shook my head, “nope, once again, that’s the wrong kind.”

    1. I’ve been watching your scavenger hunt with great jealousy. I wanted to participate but I’ve been short on time recently. I have however, jotted down the details of a few new forms for me from your hunt. So thank you πŸ˜‰

  1. I enjoyed what you did with this poetic form. Yet another form I’d like to try. You inspire me, Mouse. I thought it interesting that there are about 140 synonyms for variety, quite a range of choices! I found about a tenth of that for synonyms of ‘synonym’.

  2. There are synonyms of words but no word is perfectly synonymous with another. There are people that are one of a kind, but not unique enough to not share interests, otherwise, how would people not get engagement on blogs or understand someone?
