I commune with my soul
More with my becoming age
And revel in the sheer rarity
To tweak my internal gauge
The end of days
spent by the pool
My soul dies
I'm going back to school
In Indian mythology, autumn is considered to be the preferred season for the goddess of learning Saraswati, who is also known by the name of “goddess of autumn” (Sharada)

Recorded as early as the late 1300s, autumn is from the French automne and Latin autumnus, whose deeper roots are obscure. Chaucer and Shakespeare both used it in their works, notably.

Autumn/Fall
That’s it — I’m now going to refer to the man as “The Shake”. My eldest is reading him in English class and I will make a point of asking when she comes home, “So… How was The Shake today?” It should irritate her, which will bring some balance back to our relationship.

Love it. I also enjoy antagonizing the children. My wife tells me I should, to which I responded, “well, what else am I supposed to do with them?”

I know! Reading books and playing games it’s so much work. Antagonizing kids is so much easier and much more fun. Plus… Builds character.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. We are simply preparing them for the real world.

Always a pleasure to have some humorous and thoughtful looks at autumn. Oh an a bit of knowledge tossed in for good measure, with my morning coffee. 😉💙

Thanks bluey.
I think I might be overdoing the information portion of my posts. But I found so much fascinating info this week, I couldn’t help it ☺️💚

A slight correction about Saraswati. The fifth day of spring is celebrated to honour her. She is also called “Sharada” which means one who loves autumn. 😊

Thank you. I found a bit of conflicting info on the subject and went with the majority. I probably should have put an asterisk at the end 🤣

I am amused – again and again! As for the evil minions (squirrels), I’m doubting the increased brain size since Autumn sees more of them falling out of trees….

🤣 that must be quite the sight! Ive never seen a squirrel fall. They are impressive acrobats. Have seen a few on the road. Not so great against cars.

I give my differentials to Billy now. I’m past it. I have no right to question his genius. I’m long removed from differentials.
What’s this got to do with squirrels? Nothing……..

Perhaps Billy fell asleep before he finished reading. Small children are prone to do that. At least real children 🤔
Perhaps Billy is older than we think and might be closer to retirement age. Then it could be a matter of eye sight.
I’m worried for Billy he was a bright promising boy. I guess even the imaginary have their limitations.
