Confusion Cutting Corners

Not all those who wander are lost

J.R.R. Tolkien

Shortcuts
Incisions en route
Relieve pressure

The Humping Speed Hump

You best beware
The wild hare
Who cannot decide
Between here and there

Graffiti
Degrades
Property
Only
When not
Done
Properly

I cross the tracks
First over
And then under
On my ride

In the confusion
I forget
Which is the
Wrong side

Weekly Theme:

Thoughts and observations from my daily bike ride to work.

      1. You are so right, and brought home something I’m forgetting. I always carry on about others not relaxing, loosening up and letting go, while here I’m guilty of the same……

      2. As they say, it’s easier to see our own faults in others than ourselves.
I don’t think you need to worry to much about loosening up πŸ‘

      3. True

As they say, it’s easier to see our own faults in others than ourselves.

I think a lot of people have to think of their job and families and toe the ‘norms’ of society if you follow me. Can’t relax and let go too much and risk job security, on which family depend.

Another sticking point is what will others think?

Me? I’m retired. No job security to worry about. Too old to worry what others think. I just wanna have fun before I die. What does Sheryl Crowe sing? All I wanna do is have some fun before I die I gotta feeling I’m not the only one…. also FCS theme song …..cheers

    1. Thank you, I’m happy to hear that.
      It is a beautiful trail.
Well said. That is one of the things to take away from this week’s posts, Inspiration is everywhere, look around and see.
      Thanks again for commenting.

  1. These are all wonderful views on your daily ride, wouldn’t it be wonderful if it didn’t matter which side of the tracks you rode. Truth in the spray can. Precise cuts can shave time of your ride as long as you don’t run into speed bumps πŸš΄πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜‰πŸ’™

    1. Thank you. As a foreigner I’m not even sure which is the wrong side 🀣
Rabbits make no sense to me or themselves I believe.
Glad to have you along for the ride πŸ˜‰πŸ’š

  2. So much cleverness! The Humping Speed Hump caused some laughter. Our old license plates said “Wander Indiana” with the Tolkien quote bandied about on a regular basis!

    1. Same. In Melbourne there was so much graffiti you wouldn’t need reading material on transport.
They are very particular about public art forms here in Helsinki. Leaves much of the city neat but sterile I feel.
