What is a Pet?

“The woman who served me called me, pet.”
“So?”
“So, I rubbed up against her leg and licked her face. We have to go. Now.”

Who needed to be taken to the vet
“Is this your pet?” the vet pried
In shock, I replied
“How do you know about Yorpette?”

      1. Elvis gave his away to the zoo……probably cost too much to run……no way Skip’d let me give him away…they’d feed him on grass…he likes his beer too much…zoos have no beer allowance…..follow me?

      2. True. Probably best for all involved.
Im not surprised skip turned to the drink after sharing the screen with that insufferable child.
You ever see the full frontal skits of skippy?

You’ll be pleased to know he did survive that atomic blast……just that his defuse time ran out……close to the wire as you did see and some very anxious moments……he even grimaces now at the thought….give me some more Fosters he says……helps me forget that awful moment….he thanks you for your kind sympathies and hopes you never have to defuse an atomic bomb….I told him they don’t have these in Finland…….phew! he said, and took another swig of Fosters

      4. You know, I don’t remember that episode of skippy 🤣
Given his abilities I wouldnt be surprised it was an atomic blast that forged his greatness.
I always thought Skip would be more of a 4 x kinda roo 🤣

      6. Hilarious, I should have know it was the bumbling brits. I thought it was the Dutch. I’ve been blaming those windmill weirdos for years. I guess apologies are in order.
My sincerest apologies to the land of the cloggers 🇳🇱💚

  1. A little humor! As a Veterinary Technician/Nurse I’ve seen my share of unusual pets. Usually when the owner failed to take into account the special diet required to keep them healthy or when they were injured by the “pet” and couldn’t get any zoo to take them… Who in their right mind raises an alligator to a beast of 10 feet keeping it in their basement??

    1. That must be one of the greatest professions of all time!
I can not deny I am incredibly jealous.
That sounds like punishment for the poor animal. I was upset by much of what I researched during this week’s posts. We are not a kind species.

  2. The pet limerick is amusing and I can actually relate to it personally, because recently when I went to an Asian grocery, the owner said to me “Hello boss!” and I said to him “How did you know my name?” as my name, said quickly, sounds a lot like “boss”.

    1. I work with Asians and we laugh daily at misheard or misunderstood words.
I could see Boris easily becoming boss.
A very pleasant greeting from the owner, nice to hear.

    1. Thanks.
I wish I could have pet rats. My wife will not budge.
I know, I took some liberties with the senryü. Probably should have called it a zappai or reformed it into a lune.

      1. We have a cat and will most likely get a dog if we ever have room for it. Mice and rats are out of the question unless I can strong convince on of the kids to demand them 😏
