Two Sides

Emotional Symbiosis

love and hate
are not
polar opposites

My daughter told me she hates me
And I guess I can understand why
I promised her she could have candy
I gave her an apple and she started to cry

I told her its mother natures candy
She considered this a bold faced lie
So I said feel free to eat all the candy
If you want to get diabetes and die

The Wrong Side

The thin streak of a jump rope
Always turning

A fixation never fixed

Keep in time
Don’t miss a beat
Don’t get caught

Be watchful of the line
the right side
Is now wrong

Love me or hate me, both are in my favor. For if you love me I will always be in your heart;
if you hate me I will always be in your mind.

William Shakespeare

Weekly Theme:
Hate

      1. aaah… that’s even funnier. When they’re older they carry “their own” money – “their own” being what you give them in a moment of weakness or generosity for some woeful attempt at chores… So then you have the double argument – “I want it” and “it’s my money so I can spend it how I want”.
Then when I take the sweets off them I get accused of theft… not entirely unjustified after I took them away one time with the promise of giving them back at an appropriate rate. Only my husband found them and ate them!

      2. So, in other words, I’m damned no matter what, for at least the next dozen years. Comforting.
I have to remember this anecdote got future. Although, I will be the hush and in the scenario. I can’t leave the sweets alone to save myself.
