action flows freely
a welling spout releases
tremors in my soul

Shitty Monday

Simplicity is the dish of the day
Don’t expect substance
you wouldn’t want it anyway
It is afterall
another shitty Monday
So, chill out, relax,
your McDonald’s equivalent
is right this way

Syllable Cinquain: Sweet Peach

Sweet peach
Juicy, tasty
Shining, curving, bouncing.
I want to take a bite of those
Ripe cheeks

(Buttocks, can be substituted for the last line. Depending on which cinquain rules you follow)

    1. HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY KATE ! Or as I call it the most homesick day of the year. I worked most the day so I missed out on any festivities.
      Is The Castle a new tradition? It would definitely be good for the vibe of Aussie Day.
      Perhaps I’ll watch some Kath and Kim tonight 🤔

      1. I like Kath and Kim, but my husband can’t watch it – he says they’re too much like his relatives. 😀 I’m not sure if The Castle is a new tradition, but I think it was on last year as well. It makes me want to get a pool room.
