I am the Moon

The weight of importance
In a tidal shift
Sways
The rhythm waves
Crashes on rocks… and takes flight

Cold glances
cast from the sky
Distant

A nightly affair
A forgotten wish

for reaping

The satellite becomes
As it is
Tied to the tide
And
Tied to do so

I am the moon
Close to you
In the night
I reach
I pull
I release

All I want is to hold you
