Children’s Rhyme: New World Pirates

The year was twenty twenty
The old world had moved on
Treasure was aplenty
But the buried kind was gone

Treasure could still be found
The world was not deprived
But if not hidden underground
How had it survived?

The New World Pirates knew
Maps showed them the way
But as their numbers grew
It was more difficult every day

The crew would set sail
Prized booty on their mind
Scouring along the trail
To find that special kind

The treasure they were after
Was the perfect beach and sea
And a day of fun and laughter
Spent with the whole family

Your mind is the treasury
And be it a moment or a day
The real treasure is the memory
That can never be taken away

Happy National Beach Day!
