Reign Over Love

The gluttons mouth a tireless beast, feasts on wanton need
No conscious thought to maintain grace,  survives on only greed
Who gorge their bloated souls in lust and choke on foolish pride
Then feign at shock, at hardships fought, to find that love has died

Now show yourselves, misled folk, with roars of selfish rage
No longer can your hearts contain the internal war you wage
The sins rooted deep within, come with the highest cost
A birthright granted all of us, is what you will have lost

Rejoice in the gift of virtues, formed pure and ever true
They outshine wicked temptations, and dwell in heaven’s view
Dispel the darkest vices, in service loyal to one above
The one in a place of honour, for nothing reigns over love
